Medical Director of Liver Transplantation and Hepatobiliary Services
Jeffrey Weinstein, M.D., is a board certified gastroenterologist specializing in the care of patients with acute and chronic liver disorders, cirrhosis, adult liver transplantation, and other gastrointestinal diseases.
Since 2003, Dr. Weinstein has served as the Medical Director of Liver Transplantation and Hepatobiliary Services at Methodist Dallas Medical Center. In this capacity, he has guided the provider team to significantly expand the liver transplant program and strengthened The Liver Institute’s role as a leading tertiary referral center in the region.
Prior to joining The Liver Institute, Dr. Weinstein served as associate medical director and interim medical director for the liver transplant program at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas.
He has participated in research protocols and authored papers on acute and chronic liver disease, liver transplantation, and hepatitis C.
