About Me

Dr. Richard Dickerman, M.D., FACS , is the surgical director of the transplant programs at Methodist Dallas Medical Center.

Certified by the American Board of Surgery and aFellow, American College of Surgeons (FACS), Dr. Dickerman is well-published and recognized as one of the leading vascular and transplant surgeons in the state of Texas.

He was instrumental in the development of the kidney and pancreas transplant program at Methodist Dallas Medical Center which has performed more than 2,500 transplants since 1981.

In 1999, he became the first surgeon, along with Ron Aronoff, M.D., to successfully perform a laparoscopic nephrectomy at Methodist Dallas Medical Center.
